Data errors
Organized by the symptom you're seeing.
"A pedigree link is broken / an ancestor is wrong"
- Open the rabbit and check its sire/dam links. If a parent wasn't in your herd when you imported, link it now from the rabbit's profile.
- If it came from Pedigree Import, re-check the ancestor that was misread — fields are editable.
Fixing a parent link fixes every pedigree below it at once — pedigrees are generated from the links rather than stored, so there is nothing else to correct.
"An import didn't bring everything in"
Full detail is on Import Errors. In short:
- Parents referenced by name need a match; unresolved and ambiguous ones are reported on the review screen and linked afterwards by hand.
- Unresolved breeds and varieties are kept as free text rather than dropped, and counted during review so you can correct them.
- Columns OmniBurrow had no field for are kept in the record's notes, not discarded.
"The same rabbit is in my herd twice"
Merge them rather than deleting one — merging moves every weight, litter, treatment, sale, and pedigree link onto the survivor. It is online-only and cannot be undone. See Maintenance Tools.
To stop it happening again, import your herd before your pedigree documents, and fill in ear tags — that is what duplicate matching relies on.
"I accidentally deleted a record"
There is no undo. Deleting a rabbit also permanently deletes its photos.
Your options are to re-enter it, or to restore a backup taken before the deletion — which replaces your whole account, so it is only worth it for a large loss. See Restore from Backup.
For an animal that simply left your barn, set its ownership status to sold, rehomed, deceased, or harvested instead of deleting. The record and all its history stay.
"My calculated values look stale"
Inferred genetics and inbreeding coefficients update as you edit, but after a large import or a pedigree clean-up you can rebuild them in one pass from Maintenance Tools. A herd-wide refresh runs in the background.
