Photos & Media
Every rabbit and every litter has a photo gallery you can add to from the camera or your library. One photo per rabbit is the profile image that shows wherever the rabbit is listed, and one can be cropped as a circular pedigree image for printed pedigrees. Photos are yours: they come down in a data export alongside your records.

Open a rabbit and use the Photos section of its record. From there you can upload, set the profile image, crop the circular pedigree image, add a note to any photo, and delete one.
A rabbit has to exist before it can hold photos, so when adding a new rabbit, save it first and then reopen it.
Open a rabbit or litter and go to its photo gallery, then Take a photo or Choose from library. Tap any photo to set it as the profile — or as the litter's cover — set the pedigree crop, write a note, or delete it.
Photos taken offline are held on the phone and upload themselves when you have signal. The gallery marks them SYNCING until they land, and ERROR with a retry if an upload fails.
Photos are resized and compressed before upload, so a large phone photo does not fail or eat your data allowance in the barn.
Where photos appear
- The profile image is the thumbnail on the rabbits list, on cage cards, and anywhere else the rabbit is referenced.
- The pedigree image is the circular crop used on printed pedigrees, when you turn photos on in the pedigree PDF options.
- A litter's cover image does the same job for the litter.
- Photos can also be published on a marketplace listing. Every photo is private until it is attached to a listing — nothing in your gallery is public by default.
Offline availability
The mobile app keeps photos you have actually looked at, so they are there next time whether or not you have signal.
Images cache as you scroll past them, not all at once in the background. A photo you have never opened on that phone will not be there offline. If you want a gallery available in the barn, open it once while you still have signal.
The cache is capped at 500 MB and drops the least recently used photos when it reaches that, so it never grows without limit. Cached photos survive the app being closed, and are wiped when you sign out or delete your account.
Storage and export
Photos are stored with your account, not only on the device that took them — a photo added on the phone appears on the web app once it syncs.
They are included when you export your data: an export produces your records as CSV files plus a separate photos archive. See Backup, Export & Deletion.
Deleting a rabbit permanently removes its photos. That is rarely what you want for an animal that simply left your barn — set its ownership status instead, which keeps the record and everything attached to it. See Rabbit Records.
