Health Events
A health event is a dated note about something that happened to an animal — a vet visit, an illness, an injury, a preventative dose, a necropsy, or just something you noticed. It attaches to one rabbit or to a whole litter, lands on that animal's history, and feeds the health and mortality analytics. Recording events works offline on the phone.
Record a health event

Go to Dashboard → Health and add an event, or add one from the Health section of a rabbit's record.
Open Health and add an event, use the Health section on a rabbit, or tap + (Quick Log) and log one from there. All of it works offline.
An event records:

The cost field is worth understanding: it records what the event cost on the event itself, but it does not create a transaction in your finance ledger. If you want vet bills in your books, enter the expense there as well.
Event types
Six types ship, and picking the right one is what makes the analytics readable later:
- Vet visit — anything that went through a practice.
- Illness — a sick animal.
- Injury — a physical injury.
- Preventative — vaccinations, routine dosing, anything done before there was a problem.
- Necropsy — a post-mortem examination and what it found.
- Observation — something you noticed and want on the record.
For everyday cage-side notes — appetite, droppings, body condition — use a care observation instead. It is a lighter record with its own structured fields.
Events on a whole litter
An event can attach to a litter rather than an individual, which is the honest way to record something that hit the nest box as a group — a coccidiosis outbreak, a preventative given to every kit — without inventing per-kit records you never actually made.
The same choice exists for treatments: treat the litter, and the withdrawal period applies to the litter.
Where events show up
- On the rabbit's own record, in its health section and history.
- On the litter, for litter-level events.
- In the health hub, as a filterable list across your whole herd — filter by date, event type, or rabbit name to find a run of the same problem.
- In a data export, as their own CSV table.
Health events are not totalled into an analytics dashboard. The Health & Care dashboard is built from care observations and withdrawal windows, and kit mortality lives on Production & Does. To count events by type or cause, filter the health hub or export and count.
Bulk entry
Recording the same event against many animals one at a time is the kind of job that does not get done, so there are two faster routes.
Barn Scan is the fastest. Set the event up once, then scan cage card after cage card — the same event is applied to every rabbit you scan, and the camera re-arms between animals. It works offline, and it is mobile-only.
For a list of animals rather than a row of cages, use a data entry session — Rapid entry on the phone, Data Entry → Health on the web — and work down the list.
