Calendar Export
Calendar export writes to the calendar on your phone, so it is a Mobile App feature.
Turn it on and your upcoming tasks appear in your phone's own calendar as all-day events — which means kindling dates and nest-box reminders sit next to work meetings and school runs instead of being a list you have to remember to open. The entries stay in step: change a task and the event changes, complete it and the event goes.
Turn on calendar export
Go to Settings → Reminders and switch on calendar export.
The first time, the phone asks for calendar permission. Granting it lets OmniBurrow write to a writable calendar on the device; declining means nothing is exported, and the switch turns itself back off rather than pretending to be on. If your phone has no writable calendar at all, the app says so rather than failing quietly.
Once enabled, your upcoming tasks are added straight away.
Calendar export uses a native component, so it arrives with a fresh build of the app rather than an over-the-air update. If the option is not on your Reminders screen yet, that is why.
All tasks or one task
There are two levels of control:
- The global switch in Settings exports your upcoming tasks and keeps them in step from then on.
- Per-task export lets you send a single task to your calendar without turning on the whole thing — useful when you only want the kindling dates in front of your family, not every cage cleaning.
Turning the global switch off removes the events OmniBurrow created.
What the calendar entry looks like
Each task becomes an all-day event on its due date:
- The event title is the task's title.
- The notes carry the task's own notes, followed by a line marking it as managed by OmniBurrow — so you can tell at a glance which entries came from here.
- No alarms are set on the event. Reminding you is the app's job, through task reminders, and doubling them up would mean two notifications for the same task.
Events are written in your device's time zone.
Completing a task
Complete a task and its calendar entry is removed — the calendar shows what is still to do, not a history of what you did.
Reopen it and the entry comes back. Change the title, the notes, or the due date and the event is updated in place rather than duplicated. If you delete the event from your calendar app by hand, OmniBurrow notices it is gone and recreates it on the next sync rather than erroring.
Removing entries
Switch calendar export off and the events OmniBurrow created are removed from your calendar. Your tasks are untouched — they stay in the app exactly as they were.
Revoking calendar permission in system settings also stops the export. OmniBurrow cannot tidy up events it can no longer see, so turn the switch off first if you want them cleared.
