Contacts & Buyers
A contact is anyone you do business with — buyers, other breeders, pet homes, family. Each contact profile gathers what that person is waiting for, what they have put money down on, and what they have bought, so you never have to reconstruct a buyer's history from memory or a text thread. Contacts are the anchor for the whole sale flow: waitlist entries, deposits, and sales all hang off one.

Go to Dashboard → Contacts and add one. Only a name is required.
Open Contacts and tap +. Only a name is required, and this works offline.
A contact holds a name, email, phone, a type, a preferred breed, and notes.
The type is one of Buyer, Breeder, Pet home, Family, or Other. It is a label for your own filtering, not a permission — any contact can be used in any sale.
The email address is the field that does real work. Without one, a sale cannot email a receipt and cannot send the buyer a pedigree transfer link. The sale still records fine; you just deliver the paperwork yourself. See Deposits & Sales.
What a contact profile shows
The profile is organized into three tabs:
- Waitlist — every entry for this person: what they are waiting for, which litter or rabbit it is attached to, the sex they asked for, how many, and where it sits in your order. Deposits appear under the entry they belong to.
- Deposits — every deposit this person has placed, with its status, and a Complete sale shortcut on any that are ready to be used.
- Info — the contact's own details.
Contacts in the sale flow
The chain runs through the contact, in this order:
- A waitlist entry records that this person wants something, attached to a litter or to a specific rabbit.
- A deposit is added against that entry when they put money down.
- The sale credits the deposit and completes the transaction.
That order matters: a deposit always belongs to a waitlist entry, so you add the entry first even if the buyer is paying in the same conversation. See Waitlist.
You do not have to leave a sale to create a buyer — a contact can be created inline while you are recording one, and the sale attaches to it as normal.
Privacy
Contact records are yours. They live in your account, are visible only to you, and are never shared with other OmniBurrow accounts. Selling a rabbit to another OmniBurrow user does not hand them your contact list, and buying from one does not add you to theirs.
Contacts, waitlist entries, and deposits are all included in a data export as CSV files, and are removed when you delete your data or close your account.
One thing worth remembering: buyer names and email addresses are real people's details. If you are sharing a screenshot of a contact list or a sale for support, cover them first.
