Clover Assistant

Clover is OmniBurrow's assistant, and it answers from your records rather than from general rabbit knowledge. Ask which does are underperforming, what a pairing might throw, or what is due today, and it looks the answer up in your herd. It is on both apps, and it needs a connection.

What Clover can do​

Clover has real access to your data — not a search box with a chat wrapper. It can:

Look things up. Find rabbits by name, ear tag, registration number, cage, variety, or sex; read a rabbit's or litter's full history; pull a pedigree; list your breeds; summarize the herd; show recent activity; list what is due today or this week; check inventory and low-stock alerts; report income and expenses.

Work things out. Project the COI of a pairing; predict what kits a pairing might produce; explain a rabbit's inferred genetics; rank does by productivity or by kit survival to weaning; rank bucks by offspring growth; rank historical pairings by litter size; flag animals performing below the herd average; trace which foundation ancestors appear most often across your herd; report cost per pound of edible meat; forecast feed use.

Suggest. Recommend partners to reach a particular colour or variety, to improve growth, or to outcross — opposite-sex animals sharing no ancestors within a chosen number of generations, ranked by lowest projected COI.

Record work, if you confirm it. Clover can log a weight, log weights for a whole litter at once, record a health event, complete a task, or create a litter. Every one of those requires you to confirm explicitly first — it will describe what it is about to do and wait. It never writes to your records off its own bat.

Rabbits are always referred to by name and ear tag — falling back to cage or registration number where there is no name — never by internal IDs.

Where to find it​

Two ways:

  • A full chat page in the dashboard, for a proper conversation.
  • A floating helper available on every dashboard page, which knows what page you are on — so asking a question while looking at a rabbit does not need you to say which rabbit.

The floating helper can be switched off in settings if you would rather not have it there.

Good questions to ask​

Phrase things as you would to another breeder. Questions Clover is actually equipped to answer:

  • "Which does have the worst kit survival this year?"
  • "What would I get pairing Thumper with Willow?"
  • "Find me an outcross for Thumper — nothing sharing ancestors in four generations."
  • "Which bucks give me the best growth rates?"
  • "What's due today?"
  • "Am I low on anything?"
  • "Which of my rabbits are seniors now?"
  • "What did I spend on feed last quarter?"
  • "How strong is Willow's show pedigree?"
  • "Log 68 ounces for Thumper."

Vague questions get vague answers, as anywhere. Naming the rabbit, the period, or the metric you care about gets you a better one.

What Clover cannot do​

Clover is not a veterinarian

It will not diagnose an animal or prescribe medication, and it is explicitly built not to try. For a sick rabbit it can help you organize what you have observed and will suggest finding a rabbit-savvy vet — which is the right answer, not a dodge.

Other limits worth knowing:

  • It needs a connection on both apps.
  • It only knows what you have recorded. A question about kit survival needs litters with accurate counts behind it. Clover cannot compensate for gaps, and analytics pages are honest about the same thing — see Analytics Overview.
  • Some things are simply not tracked. Utility costs, for one; it will tell you so rather than estimate.
  • It will not act without confirmation. Anything that changes your records is proposed, then waits for your yes.

Privacy​

Clover works within your own account. It can only read the herd you are signed in to — there is no route to anyone else's rabbits, and nothing about your records is shared with other users.

Answering a question involves sending the relevant part of your records to the model that generates the reply. If that matters to you, the floating helper can be turned off on the web, and simply not opening Clover means nothing is sent at all.
