Email Preferences

Eight categories of email are under your control, and switching one off stops it being sent — not just hidden. The ninth, account and security email, always sends, because it is how you find out your export is ready or your account is scheduled for closure.

The categories

CategoryWhat it coversDefault
Transfer invitesPedigree transfer invitations and their outcomesOn
Sale receiptsSale receipts, deposit receipts, and refund noticesOn
WaitlistAvailability updates to people on your waitlistOn
MarketplaceListing enquiries and review noticesOn
Product guidance and marketingTrial guidance and occasional product updatesOn
Weekly task digestA weekly summary of due and overdue tasksOff
Health alertsWithdrawal-period cleared noticesOn
Inventory alertsLow-stock notices when an item hits its reorder thresholdOn
Account and securityData export ready, account closureAlways on

The weekly task digest is the only one off by default — it is opt-in rather than something you have to turn off.

Note what switching a category off means for other people. Turning off sale receipts stops your buyers receiving a receipt when you record a sale; turning off transfer invites stops a buyer getting the link to claim their rabbit's pedigree. These are not just your inbox.

Change your preferences

Dashboard → Settings, in the email section. Changes save immediately.

Preferences are stored on your account, not on a device, so a change on the phone applies to the web app and to every email sent from then on.

Account and security email

This one cannot be switched off

Account and security email covers things like your data export being ready to download and notices about closing your account. If you could turn these off, you could ask for your data and never be told it was waiting — so this category always sends.

It is deliberately narrow. It is not a loophole for marketing.

Transfer invitations carry a proper one-click unsubscribe header, so a recipient can opt out straight from their mail client without opening anything or finding a settings screen. That unsubscribe is honoured — it is not a display preference.

If you unsubscribe globally through your mail provider, that is mirrored back into your product marketing preference rather than being silently ignored.

What we never do

  • Off means not sent. Opting out suppresses the email at source; it is not filtered on the way in or hidden after the fact.
  • Your contacts are not a mailing list. Buyers and contacts you record are only ever emailed about a transaction you actually made — a receipt, a deposit, a transfer, a waitlist update. They are never sent product marketing.
  • Nothing is shared with other accounts. See Contacts & Buyers.
