Backup, Export & Deletion
You can ask for everything you have put into OmniBurrow at any time, and get it back as ordinary CSV files plus your photos — no special software, no support ticket. The same page is where you delete your data or close your account, and closing gives you a 30-day window to change your mind.

Request an export
Ask for an export and it is built in the background — you do not have to sit and watch. The page shows progress as it works through your tables and photos, and you are emailed when it is ready.
Download links stay valid for 7 days, after which you can simply request another.
Export runs on the server, so all three apps need to be online for it.
It does not need an active subscription. Requesting an export, checking its progress, and downloading it all keep working after a trial or subscription ends. That is deliberate: your way out should never depend on paying. See Plans, Trial & Billing.
What is in the export
Two files: your data and your photos.
The data file holds a CSV per table — rabbits, litters, kits, weights, health events, treatments, medications, financial transactions, deposits, contacts, waitlist entries, show entries, tasks, feed allocations, grow-out groups, inventory, processing records, lines, care observations, settings, and more. Dates and times are written in a standard ISO format so a spreadsheet reads them properly.
The photos file holds the images from your rabbits and litters.
Field-by-field detail is in the export file reference.
Restore a backup
An OmniBurrow export can be restored back into your account — this is the third of the three import routes, and it takes an export ZIP only, not another program's file.
Restoring is careful about it. After writing the rows, OmniBurrow counts what actually landed in each table and compares it with what the file said should be there. If a single table does not match, the whole restore is rolled back and marked failed rather than leaving you with a half-restored account. You can see the expected-versus-actual count per table.
Full walkthrough: Restore from Backup.
Note that restoring is not available while a subscription has lapsed — unlike export. Resubscribe first.
Delete all your data
This wipes your records — rabbits, litters, photos, finances, everything — and leaves you with an empty but working account. You stay signed in and can start again from scratch.
There is no grace period on delete-all and no recovery. Your photos are removed from storage as part of it.
You must type delete to confirm.
Export first if there is any chance you will want the records. Once this runs, an export you did not take does not exist.
Close your account
Closing is the bigger door, and it is gentler than delete-all:
- An export is built for you automatically, and the download links are emailed to you — so you leave with your data whether or not you thought to ask.
- Your subscription is cancelled at the end of the period you have paid for. There is no immediate refund, and you keep access until then.
- Deletion is scheduled 30 days out. Your account stays live and reversible during that window.
Sign back in during those 30 days and you can restore the account — your sign-in still works and your data is still there. After the window passes, everything is permanently deleted, including your sign-in identity.
You must type delete to confirm this one too.
